CMC is one of the important raw materials for the manufacturing toothpaste, the role of CMC in toothpaste is evenly mixed the liquid raw materials and solid raw materials together,giving the toothpaste molding flow and appropriate viscosity,brightness and smoothness,so that the toothpaste has a suitable stiffness, and the dispersion will be best when brush the teeth .
CMC has the following excellent performance in toothpaste:
(1)Improve the sense and intrinsic stability of toothpaste paste;
(2)To give the toothpaste with the function of mobility and adhesion,to prevent the separation of the friction agent;
(3)After dissolution, CMC has high light transmittance,with better performance of rheological and thixotropic;
(4)In the toothpaste storing process, the paste does no water,not shelling,rough back and prolong the shelf life.
